BSO Azad declares April 9 as a day of remembrance and reaffirmation for Baloch national liberation

The Baloch Students Organization (BSO) Azad has issued a statement commemorating “Shuhda-e-Murgaap,” a day dedicated to reflecting on the unwavering commitment of Baloch nationalists toward their liberation struggle.
On April 9, 2009, the Baloch Liberation Movement faced a devastating loss when three prominent figures were brutally killed. Waja Ghulam Muhammad, who was then the Chairman of the Baloch National Movement (BNM) and a respected intellectual, was among those abducted. Lala Munir, a leader within BNM, and Sher Muhammad, a leader of the Baloch Republican Party (BRP), were also abducted by the Pakistani army on April 3, 2009. Their mutilated bodies were discovered on April 9, marking a tragic and painful chapter in the movement’s history.
The statement from BSO Azad emphasizes that although the loss of these leaders was deeply felt across the Baloch nation, it also served to strengthen the resolve and dedication of the liberation movement.
